City Youth is the phenomenal city wide Youth Programme here at Breathe City Church pastoring over 400 young people in the city. We may be biased but we firmly believe that City Youth is the best youth ministry in the nation. In BCC Campus: Hanley , City Youth can boast their own facility in the heart of the City Centre from where they run weekly events for young people on Friday and Sunday nights; Avit and Academy. The City Youth Team pick up and drop off young people from City Youth bus stops all over the city. Our phenomenal team of City Youth Pastors are in regular contact with young people via phone, text, email and social networking sites and ensure that they meet up with young people as often as they can in order to build solid relationships. A significant part of City Youth’s programme is their work in the local Secondary Schools. Working with the majority of schools in Stoke on Trent, the City Youth team are capable of planning and delivering RE and PSHE lessons on almost any subject matter within the curriculum. Schools can book the City Youth Team for a one-off lesson, a full day of lessons or even a full week of lessons. The team are willing to work with the school in order to deliver the curriculum in a dynamic, interactive and relevant way. City Youth are also regularly asked to conduct High School assemblies on a variety of themes and subjects and have written their own Pastoral Support Programme which is used in a number of schools already. Perhaps the highlight of the City Youth calendar comes around during the Spring term each year. Catapult is the name given to the City Youth Weekend away. City Youth take young people away for a weekend of team building, competitions, training and discipleship and plenty of fun. Catapult gets bigger each year and is simply not to be missed!
